The Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) has issued a stern warning to businesses, emphasizing that transactions involving fictitious or inactive entities will not be recognized for tax purposes. Expenses declared under Income Tax and deductible VAT claims associated with such transactions will be rejected.

TAK has announced increased scrutiny of businesses engaging in fraudulent transactions, with strict legal measures set to be enforced. Businesses are urged to verify the status of their partners before entering into transactions. A list of non-active businesses is available on TAK’s website: https://www.atk-ks.org/portfolio/tatimpaguesit-jo-aktiv/.

Any company issuing or accepting fictitious invoices will face penalties as per tax legislation. TAK reminds taxpayers that compliance is essential for funding public services, healthcare, education, and national infrastructure.
