Wealthy individuals in Bolivia face severe penalties for failing to meet their Wealth Tax (IGF) obligations, with fines reaching 200% of the unpaid amount. The National Tax Service (SIN) has urged taxpayers to comply before March 31, 2025, to avoid financial and legal repercussions.

Who Is Affected?

🔹 Bolivian residents with a net wealth exceeding Bs30 million, whether domestically or abroad.
🔹 The deadline for residents to declare and pay is Monday, March 31, 2025.
🔹 Non-residents with assets exceeding Bs30 million in Bolivia must pay by April 30, 2025.

Penalties for Non-Compliance

200% fine on the omitted tax (Law Nº 1357, Art. 15).
Public disclosure of tax debts in media outlets.

How to Pay the IGF?

Visit www.impuestos.gob.bo
Access the Virtual Office → Taxpayer Service Portal → Integrated Tax Administration System (SIAT).
Select “Wealth Tax” (IGF) and complete Form 022.
Payment options:
Cash or electronic payments via authorized SIN channels.
International payments in U.S. dollars to a designated SIN account.
