The General Tax Authority (GTA) has announced that the tax filing period for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, will officially begin on January 1, 2025, and close on April 30, 2025. This directive is in accordance with the Income Tax Law (Law No. 24 of 2018), along with its Executive Regulations and any subsequent amendments. Under these laws, all entities required to comply—including tax-exempt companies, fully owned by Qatari or other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nationals, as well as those with non-Qatari shareholders—must submit their tax returns within the designated timeframe.
The GTA urges all companies and enterprises possessing a commercial registration or license to file their returns via the Dhareeba tax portal. Furthermore, the GTA is dedicated to providing comprehensive services aimed at simplifying the tax return process. This initiative ensures that taxpayers receive the essential guidance and support they need to fulfill their obligations in a timely manner. For additional assistance, taxpayers can reach out to the GTA through its helpline at 16565 or via the dedicated support email at (supportdhareeba.qa)
This initiative underscores the GTA’s commitment to streamlining tax protocols, fostering compliance, supporting Qatar’s fiscal policy goals, and encouraging sustainable economic growth.
